What's New in Skyllful: August 2025
Behind-the-scenes infrastructure, security, and performance work, a sneak peek at the upcoming Lessons Dashboard, a full-screen Web Simulator experience, and interactive Heatmaps.
Under the Hood
Over the past month, we focused on the behind-the-scenes work. Work that includes strengthening infrastructure, enhancing security, and boosting performance. You might not see these changes, but they help ensure Skyllful stays fast, safe, and reliable for your teams.
Sneak Peek: Lessons Dashboard (coming next month)
We're too excited about this to keep it secret: next month, you'll get a brand-new Lessons Dashboard!
A first look at the Lessons Dashboard, coming next month.
View all Lessons in a clear, step-by-step grid
The lessons dashboard gives designers a step-by-step snapshot of how lessons are performing. By seeing click accuracy at every step across multiple lessons in one view, creators can quickly spot where learners excel and struggle. They will also be able to identify any trends, such as the impact of lesson length on performance. This makes it faster to pinpoint trouble spots, prioritize improvements, and ensure the learning experience flows smoothly from start to finish.
Skyllful Simulator: Improved full-screen web experience
We've upgraded our web sim with enhanced full-screen support for tablets and handheld devices using progressive web app (PWA) techniques. This means learners now get a cleaner, more immersive, app-like experience right from their browser, no downloads needed. By eliminating distracting browser elements, this update helps learners stay focused and engaged, whether they're training in the field or on the move. Plus, helpful prompts will guide users on how to enable the new experience, making it easy to get started.

Dive into interactive Heatmaps
Heatmaps give content creators a visual map of where users click or tap during a lesson step. If clicks or taps cluster in unexpected spots, it can signal unclear instructions, confusing UI elements, or distractions pulling attention away from the intended action. With this insight, instructional designers can refine content, adjust layouts, or add coaching so learners stay on track, leading to better comprehension and higher success rates.

The lessons dashboard will be a powerful new way to spot issues, fine-tune instructions, and improve learner success.
Stay tuned, it's almost here!
