Use Replicas in a Lesson
Replicas reach a Lesson either from the Screen Library, where you can select several screens and insert them together, or straight from Replica Video Capture, and this article shows Content Developers and Instructional Designers both paths and when each one fits.
What is a Replica doing in a Lesson?
A Replica is an interactive copy of one of your application screens. Placed on a Lesson step, it gives the Learner something that looks and behaves like the system they actually use, so they can practise the task without touching production.
One Replica sits on one step. Building a Lesson is largely a matter of getting the right screens onto the right steps in the right order.

How do you add several screens from the Screen Library at once?
You do not have to add screens one step at a time.

Note: The number in brackets after each option is how many of your selected screens that action can act on, not how many you selected. Archive, Convert, and Edit will read (0) when the screens you picked are already Replicas in a published Lesson, because a screen in use that way is locked.
Skyllful inserts all of the selected screens at once, in the order they appear in the library, so check your sort before you select.
How do you create a Lesson straight from a source video?
When the screens do not exist yet, Replica Video Capture can take you from a video to a Lesson without a stop in between.

What happens next?
Screens on steps are the skeleton of a Lesson, not the Lesson. Each step still needs a name, a prompt, and the control the Learner is meant to act on. See Modify Lesson Steps for adding controls to a step, and Style Screen Prompts for the prompt styling.
What if you cannot use a Replica in a Lesson?
