User Permissions
Each Skyllful component controls access differently: Simulator is on or off, IQ has two visibility levels, and Studio has twenty-five individual permissions you grant one at a time.
How does access work in Skyllful?
Every person's access is set per Learning Program, on the three Access tabs of their user record: Simulator, IQ, and Studio. A person can have any combination, including all three.
Each tab starts with a single checkbox, and each component then handles permissions in its own way.

What does Simulator access give someone?
It makes them a Learner: they can be assigned training and complete it in the Skyllful Simulator.
Simulator access is the only one with required companions. Turning it on requires a Manager and a Job Role for that person, and only a user who has Skyllful IQ access can be chosen as their manager.
What do the two IQ permission levels mean?
Turn on Enable IQ Access, then choose a level. This is the setting that decides whose results someone can see.

Note: Direct Reports depends on the reporting chain being right. Someone with this level sees nobody until Learners are pointed at them through the Manager field on the Learner's Simulator tab.
Note: The IQ tab also tells you how many people already report to this person, as "1 Person assigned to" followed by their name, with a View in Simulator User Management link beside it. It is the quickest way to check whether a manager actually has a team before you give them Direct Reports.
What are the Studio permissions?
Studio is the component where access is granular. Turn on Enable Studio Access, then grant only the permissions that person needs. There are twenty-five, and they fall into four groups.

The permissions you grant appear as chips in the field, each with an x for removing it. Select All and Unselect All sit below the list.
Note: Grant only what the person's work requires. The Edit and Archive permissions change content other people depend on, and Edit Studio Users lets someone change the access of other administrators, including their own colleagues.
How do you give someone read-only Studio access?
Turn on Enable Studio Access and leave every permission unselected. Skyllful confirms it: the checkbox label changes to Enable Studio Access (Read Only).
A read-only Studio user can look around Studio without changing anything, which suits reviewers, stakeholders, and anyone learning the platform.
FAQ
Can someone have access to more than one component?
Yes. The three tabs are independent, and a person can be a Learner, a manager viewing IQ, and a content author at once.
Who can be assigned as a manager?
Only a user with Skyllful IQ access. Managers appear in the Manager list only if they have it.
What is the difference between no Studio permissions and no Studio access?
No Studio access means Studio is not available to them. Studio access with no permissions means they can open Studio and look, but change nothing.
Someone has Direct Reports but sees no data. Why?
Nobody is pointed at them yet. Learners are linked to a manager through the Manager field on the Learner's own Simulator tab.
Where do I set up SSO auto-provisioning?
Not on a user record. It is configured on the SSO Management tab in Learning Program Settings. See Configure Single Sign-On (SSO) and Auto-Provisioning.
