User Permissions
User permissions in Skyllful control what each user can see and do across the three components: Simulator, IQ, and Studio, each with its own permission levels.
How do Skyllful permissions work?
Each component has its own permission structure. You set a user's permissions on their profile, under the Access tabs for Simulator, IQ, and Studio.
How do you set Simulator access?
Simulator access is on or off; there are no partial levels.
| Step | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 | Open the Learning Program, then click Users under Quick Links to open the User Management screen. |
| 2 | Click the edit (pencil) icon for the user, then open the Simulator tab under Access. |
| 3 | Turn on Enable Simulator Access. |
| 4 | Save your changes. |
Any user who needs an assigned manager must have Simulator access.
How do you set IQ permissions?
IQ has two visibility levels:
| IQ permission level | What the user can see |
|---|---|
| All Learners | Data for every learner in the program. Typically for directors or VPs. |
| Direct Reports | Data only for the learners they manage directly. Typically for supervisors or leads. |
| Step | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 | On the user's profile, open the IQ tab under Access and turn on Enable IQ Access. |
| 2 | Choose an IQ permission level: All Learners or Direct Reports. |
| 3 | Save your changes. |
What do the Studio permissions control?
Turn on Enable Studio Access, then choose the permissions the user needs. To give read-only access, turn on Studio access but select no permissions.
| Studio permission | What it allows |
|---|---|
| Edit Learning Program, Courses, Modules & Lessons | Create, edit, and deactivate content based on the user's role hierarchy in Studio. |
| Edit Studio Users | Add, edit, and deactivate Studio (Design & Admin) users. |
| Edit Screen Replicas | Modify screen replicas, buttons, and text. |
| Edit xAPI Settings | Manage data configurations and mapping. |
| Edit IQ Users | Edit and manage IQ (Analytics) users. |
| Edit Simulator Users | Manage learners in the Simulator. |
| Edit Assignments | Create, modify, and archive assignments. |
| IQ Permission | Set Direct Reports or All Learners visibility. |
