Uploading Screenshots with Local Data Masking Enabled

Review and redact screenshots before they upload.

When the Data Review Tool is on, screenshots are held locally for review and redaction before they upload, and this article shows Content Developers and Instructional Designers what to expect and how to start the review.

Where can you upload screenshots?

You can upload screenshots from several areas in Studio:

  • Screen Library
  • Lesson Builder (drag into a step or use the upload button)
  • Replica Video Capture
  • Replica Maker (if screen capture is enabled for your program)

How does the upload and review flow work?

Step Action
1 Upload a screenshot in any supported area above.
2 A red banner appears at the top of the screen indicating the screenshot requires review.
3 Click the banner link to open the Data Review Tool.
4 The screenshot loads in the Data Review interface so you can redact or replace sensitive text.
5 After your changes, click Upload within the Data Review Tool to send the sanitized screenshot to the server.
