Studio Video Library Overview
The Video Library is the central place in Skyllful Studio where Content Developers store, organize, and manage every Lesson video and screen recording for a Learning Program.
What is the Video Library?
- It is the central store for every video in a Learning Program.
- It holds two kinds of video: Lesson Videos and Source Videos.
- It replaces storing videos in shared drives such as Dropbox, SharePoint, or Google Drive.
- Each video shows its size, duration, who uploaded it, and the upload date.
How do you open the Video Library?

| 1 | Open the Learning Program in Skyllful Studio. |
| 2 | Scroll to the Quick Links section on the Learning Program Overview. |
| 3 | Select Video Library. |
How do you add a video?
| Step | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 | In the Video Library, select Choose files, or drag and drop the video onto the upload area. |
| 2 | Wait for the upload to finish. A single video cannot exceed 1 GB. |
| 3 | To upload from a phone, use the mobile upload option and scan the QR code with the device camera. |

What is the difference between Lesson Videos and Source Videos?
Lesson Videos
- Videos that are already used in a Lesson.
- Shown on the Lesson Videos tab.
Source Videos
- Uploaded source footage that is not yet placed in a Lesson.
- Shown on the Source Videos tab.
How do you find a video?
- Filter By Uploaded By, Name, Upload Start Date, or Upload End Date.
- Sort by Name, Duration, or Upload Date.
- Select clear to reset the filters.
How do you know a video is missing captions?
A Missing Captions badge appears on any video that has no caption file for a language. To add captions, see [LINK TO: Adding Closed Captions to Videos].
Frequently asked questions
Is there a size limit for a video?
Yes. A single video cannot exceed 1 GB.
Can you reuse the same video in more than one Lesson?
Yes. Once a video is in the Video Library, you can use it in any Lesson in the Learning Program.
