Skyllful Lesson Quality Assurance Checklist

A final review checklist before publishing a lesson.

This checklist guides Instructional Designers, Content Developers, and Quality Reviewers through building and validating a Lesson before it’s published, covering instructional clarity, visual accuracy, interactivity, localization, and technical functionality in the Skyllful Simulator.


How do you use this checklist?

Use it as a final review before you publish or deliver a Lesson to customers. Work through each section below and confirm every item, from planning and replica creation to translation validation and technical functionality.


What should you check before publishing?

Lesson planning & course framework

Done Checklist item
Scoped content is clearly defined (workflow steps, learner roles, objectives).
Modules, Courses, and Programs are organized per the curriculum hierarchy.

Screen replica & content capture

Done Checklist item
Screen replicas are captured accurately using Replica Maker.
Screen images are high-resolution, sharp, and free of pixelation or blurring.
Screens are edited for clarity (cropping, removing unnecessary UI).
Interactive elements (clicks, text entry, scrolls) are correctly mapped.

Interactivity & modes

Done Checklist item
Walkthrough Mode includes step-by-step guidance and context where appropriate.
All step actions (clicks, scrolls, text input fields) function as expected in the Simulator.

Instructional design

Done Checklist item
The learning objective is clearly articulated in the Lesson description.
The Lesson is concise—ideally no more than 15 steps.
Voiceover scripts or on-screen instructions are clear, cohesive, and learner-centered.
Terminology is consistent; acronyms and jargon are defined or avoided.
Prompt styles align with program defaults.

Content accuracy

All task steps reflect the current production version of the app.
Data and field values reflect realistic scenarios.
Instructions are logically sequenced and complete.
Business rules and validations (for example, required fields, workflow triggers) are correctly depicted.

Technical & visual integrity

Done Checklist item
All media assets (images, videos, audio) load and function correctly.
The Simulator accurately reflects the published Lesson content.
The Lesson transitions smoothly with no abrupt screen jumps.
Embedded media (audio, video, icons) play and display correctly.
Images and thumbnails are added where appropriate.

Translations

Done Checklist item
All on-screen text is accurately translated and contextually appropriate.
The Skyllful Simulator UI is fully localized.
Translated content does not overlap, get cut off, or appear misaligned.
Translated text fits within buttons, tooltips, and modal windows without truncation.
Pronunciation and tone in translated voiceovers are clear and natural.
Translations are reviewed by a native speaker or certified translator.
Navigation and interactive elements function identically to the original Lesson.
