Lesson Versions Dashboard

Compare lesson performance across published versions.

The Lesson Versions Dashboard shows how one Lesson has performed across every published version, and this article shows Content Developers, Program Administrators, and Learning Leaders how to use it to tell whether content changes improved Learner performance.

What is the Lesson Versions Dashboard?

It shows how a specific Lesson has performed across every version that has been published, so you can see whether your changes are actually improving Learner performance over time.

How do you open it?

From the Lessons Dashboard, select the name of any Lesson to open its Lesson Versions Dashboard. To go back, select Lessons Dashboard in the breadcrumb trail at the top of the page.

What can you do on each version row?

Action What it does
View Opens that specific version of the Lesson in the Lesson Builder—useful for seeing exactly what the Lesson looked like at that point in time.
Preview Previews that version as a Learner would experience it. Choose the mode to preview: Walkthrough, Practice, or Knowledge Check.

What will you see?

It works like the Lessons Dashboard, but each row is a published version rather than a different Lesson. The most recent version is at the top, older versions below. Each row shows Total Incorrect, Total Attempts, and a color-coded cell for each step.

How do version numbers work?

Every time a Lesson is published, Skyllful assigns a new version number. Version 1 is the first publish; each update and republish creates the next version. Older versions may show “--” for steps that didn’t exist yet—that’s normal as steps are added over time.

How do you use this data?

It’s most useful for telling whether a content update made a difference. If a step was red in an older version and is green now, your update worked. If the error rate stayed high or got worse after a change, the step may need more attention. You can also trace a Lesson’s history: a version with high Total Attempts and Total Incorrect can point to a period when Learners consistently struggled.

What filtering options are available?

The same View By Mode and View As controls as the main dashboard, plus Filter By and Search (find a version by number). The View Lesson Data For control (All-Time vs. Published Version Only) isn’t available here, since the data is already organized by version.

What if it doesn’t work as expected?

Contact your Local Administrator first. If your Local Administrator cannot resolve the issue, submit a case through the Skyllful support portal.
