Compare Lesson Versions
When you revise a Lesson, Skyllful keeps the old version's results rather than overwriting them, and the Lesson Versions Dashboard puts each published version on its own row so you can see step by step whether the change actually helped.
Why compare versions?
You looked at the grid, found a step that most Learners were getting wrong, worked out why in the Heatmap Viewer, rewrote the instruction and published. The obvious next question is whether any of that helped, and nothing on the main grid answers it, because the grid shows the Lesson as a whole.
Skyllful does not overwrite the old version's results when you publish a new one. Each published version keeps its own record, and this screen puts them side by side, step by step. That turns "I think that reads better now" into an answer.
How do you open it?
Click a Lesson's name on the step-by-step grid. The breadcrumb at the top left takes you back to the Lessons Dashboard when you are done.
What is on the screen?
One row per published version, most recent at the top.

Step cells work exactly as they do on the grid: a figure with a See Heatmap link where there is data, 0 Actions where the step was attempted cleanly.
Note: Unlike the main grid, which always shows thirty step columns, this screen shows only as many steps as the Lesson actually has.
How do you read it?
Compare the same step column down the rows.
If the step you rewrote shows a lower figure on the newer version than the older one, the change worked. If it shows the same or worse, it did not, and the Heatmap Viewer on the newer version will show you what Learners are doing now.
Note: A version you have only just published has 0 Total Attempts and every step reading 0 Actions. That is not a clean result, it is an empty one. Learners have to work the new version before the comparison means anything, so give it time and come back rather than declaring victory the day you publish.
Best practice: Compare one step, not the totals. Total Incorrect across a whole Lesson moves for all sorts of reasons, including how many Learners happened to work each version. The step column you actually changed is the honest test.

FAQ
My newest version shows nothing at all. It has no attempts yet. Results appear once Learners work that version.
Why is the older version's data still here? Because it is the only record of how the Lesson performed before you changed it. Publishing a new version adds a row rather than replacing one.
Only one version is listed. The Lesson has been published once. A second row appears after you publish a change.
Total Incorrect went up on the new version. Is the change bad? Not necessarily. Check Total Attempts as well, and compare the specific step you changed rather than the total.
Can I open a heatmap from here? Yes. The See Heatmap links work the same as on the main grid, so you can look at one step on one version.
How do I get back to all my Lessons? Use the Lessons Dashboard link in the breadcrumb at the top left.
