Is the Skyllful Platform Down?

Check the current status of the Skyllful Platform. Use the Skyllful status page to see if there is an outage, service disruption, or scheduled maintenance affecting Skyllful Studio, Skyllful IQ, or the Skyllful Simulator.

If you cannot reach Skyllful, cannot sign in, or are seeing errors that make no sense, check whether it is us before you troubleshoot anything on your side.

Where do you check?

The Skyllful status page is embedded below, and you can open it in full at skyllful.statuspage.io. It reports the current state of every part of the Platform and updates on its own, so there is nothing to refresh.

Note: A single report is almost never an outage. The status page reports the state of the Platform as a whole, so a problem only one Learner is having points at their account, device or network rather than at Skyllful.

What does each part of the Platform affect?

The status page tracks five components separately, so you can see where a problem sits rather than guessing.

Component
What it affects
REST API Core data connections across the entire Skyllful Platform
Authentication Gateway Signing in to the Skyllful Platform
Studio Building and publishing content in Skyllful Studio
IQ Viewing analytics and reports in Skyllful IQ
Simulator Accessing and completing training in Skyllful Simulator

Which component matches what you are seeing?

Read this the other way around: start with the symptom and it tells you which component to look at first.

What you or your Learners are seeing
Look at
Several Users cannot sign in at once, or sign-in hangs or fails Authentication Gateway
You are signed in, but Assignments, dashboards or content will not load, or changes will not save REST API
Content Developers cannot open, build or publish, while Learners still have the training they already had Studio
Dashboards and reports are empty or unavailable, while training itself is working IQ
Learners cannot open or complete training, while authoring and reporting are fine Simulator

Note: The REST API sits underneath everything else, so a problem there shows up in Studio, IQ and Simulator at the same time. Symptoms in all three at once point at the REST API rather than at three separate faults.

Note: If the symptom is that a Learner cannot sign in, check the Authentication Gateway here before you work through Learner Unable to Log In. An outage is faster to rule out than an account is.

What do the statuses mean?

Each component shows one of these.

Status
What it means
Operational The component is working normally.
Degraded Performance The component is working but may be slower than usual.
Partial Outage Some Users are affected, but not everyone.
Major Outage The component is down for everyone.
Under Maintenance Planned maintenance is in progress.

How do you get told when something changes?

Select Subscribe to Updates on the status page to be notified when an incident is reported or resolved. You can choose email or RSS.

Best practice: Subscribe before you need it. During an incident the status page is the fastest thing to reach, and a subscription means you hear about the resolution without watching for it.

An outage or incident is listed. What now?

Nothing, other than telling the Users and Learners who are affected.

Skyllful already knows and is working on it, so a support ticket adds nothing. Subscribe to updates on the incident and you will be told when it is resolved.

Everything reads Operational and it still does not work

Then the problem is closer to home: the device, the network, or the account. Work through these in order.

Check
Why
The internet connection The most common cause, and the quickest to rule out.
Close and reopen the browser or the app Clears a stale session.
Clear the browser cache and cookies Clears a stale copy of the interface.
Try a different browser or device Separates a device problem from an account problem.
Confirm the account is active A deactivated account fails in ways that look like an outage.
Confirm the training is published and in an active Assignment A Learner sees content only when both are true, and neither shows on the status page.

If none of that explains it, raise a support ticket with Skyllful, and say that the status page showed all systems operational when you checked.
