IQ: Send a Message to Learners or Lesson Designers
Skyllful IQ lets you message learners and lesson designers directly, and this article shows administrators and managers how to send both — to recognize, encourage, or flag content issues.
Why send messages from IQ?
Skyllful IQ lets you send personalized messages directly to learners or lesson designers. Messaging supports recognizing top performers, encouraging learners who are falling behind, and alerting lesson designers to possible content issues. You can send from several locations in IQ and target individuals or groups.
How do you send a message to learners?
| Step | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 | Identify your learners. For example, to message top performers, sort your learner list by Readiness and select the checkboxes next to learners with 99% completion. |
| 2 | Click Send Selected Message to open the message composition modal. |
| 3 | Compose your message. Click into the message field and type. Use variables to personalize — add the learner's name for a custom greeting, and use the dashboard variable to sign your name. |
| 4 | Choose recipients. Send to just the learner, or include a copy to their manager by checking the box next to the manager's name. |
| 5 | Click Send Message. The learner receives it inside Skyllful Simulator under the Message tab. If included, the manager receives an email copy. |
How do you send a message to lesson designers?

| 1 | In IQ, navigate to the assignment you want. |
| 2 | In the center panels, select the Curriculum panel. |
| 3 | Review the available performance metrics for the curriculum you're looking at. |
| 4 | Click Message Lesson Designers within the Curriculum panel. |
| 5 | Enter your message and submit it to reach the lesson designers directly. |
