Getting Started as a Learner

If you have just been told your training is in Skyllful, this is where to start: what to expect, what you need before your first Lesson, and the one article to read before you begin.

What does training in Skyllful actually involve?

Not a classroom and not an afternoon. Your training lives in an app on the device you already carry, in short Lessons you work through in the gaps of a normal day.

What you practise is a realistic copy of the app you use on the job, so what you learn transfers straight to the work. Nobody expects you to finish an Assignment in one go, and nothing is lost if you stop halfway.

What do you need before your first Lesson?

Three things, and your organization supplies all of them.

  • Skyllful Simulator installed on your phone or tablet.
  • The sign-in credentials they gave you.
  • At least one Assignment, which is the training they have given you to do.

If any of those is missing, your manager is the person to ask.

What should you read first?

Get to Know Skyllful Simulator is the tour. It has a short video that introduces the app, and it explains what every tab and button on the main screen does. Twenty minutes with it and nothing in the app will be unfamiliar.

Where do you go next?

Completing Assignments covers the work itself: how to get through an Assignment, how to save your training so you can do it without a signal, and how to check what you have already finished.
