Filtering and Viewing Options

The Lessons Dashboard has controls that change what data you see and how it’s displayed, and this article shows Content Developers, Program Administrators, and Learning Leaders how to use the time range, mode, view, and filter controls.

How do you change the time range?

The View Lesson Data For control sets the time range shown in the dashboard.

Option	What it shows
All-Time	Every Learner attempt since the Lesson was published. This is the default and gives the broadest view.
Published Version Only	Only attempts on the current published version of each Lesson—use it to judge your most recent content without older-version data.

How do you choose which modes are included?

The View By Mode control chooses which modes are included in the incorrect-action data. Both are selected by default; uncheck one to focus on the other.

Mode	What it includes
Practice Mode	Attempts made while Learners practice the steps interactively.
Knowledge Check Mode	Attempts made during Knowledge Check assessments.

How do you switch between percent and count?

The View As control changes how each step’s errors are displayed.

Option	What it shows
Percent	The percentage of attempts with an incorrect action at each step (default). Makes it easy to compare steps across Lessons of different sizes.
Count	The raw number of incorrect actions at each step. Useful for understanding the actual volume of errors.

How do you filter the Lesson list?

The Filter By control narrows the Lesson list by a category and value—helpful in a large program when you want a specific group of Learners or part of the curriculum. Select a Category, then a Value. Available categories are: Assignment, Attempts, Course, Date Attempted, Fail Rate, Job Role, Market, Module, Region, Step Count, User Tag, and Warehouse.

Categories like Region, Market, Warehouse, and Location come from organizational metadata each customer configures, so the values you see reflect your organization’s structure and may differ from another organization’s. You can also use the Search field to find a Lesson by name, and select clear next to Search to remove a filter.

What if it doesn’t work as expected?

Contact your Local Administrator first. If your Local Administrator cannot resolve the issue, submit a case through the Skyllful support portal.
