Develop a Lesson in Video Mode

Designing Video mode in a Skyllful Lesson gives Learners a fully supported view of the workflow, and this article shows Content Developers and Instructional Designers how to set up Video mode, add a voiceover script, edit pronunciation, and download the assets to produce the video.

Before you begin

Although Learners complete Video mode first, develop the video last. This is more efficient because it lets you make sure every step is accurate and complete before you produce the video.

What are the key features of Video mode?

  • Structured learning: provides full instructional support.
  • Script and voiceover: automated narration keeps the video clear.
  • Downloadable content: export screens and audio files for video production.

How do you create a Skyllful video?

Step Action
1 Open the video tab in the Lesson Builder.
2 Adjust the Video Lesson Mode Settings as needed:
  • Video upload panel.
  • Time to completion for the mode.
  • Skills Covered.
  • Overrides for Name, Title Override, Description Override, and the Module image.
3 Add the video script to every step in the VO Script field. Check that the grammar and spelling are correct.
4 Adjust the pronunciations as needed, then select a VO voice for your script.
5 Using the kebab menu (the three dots), download all the screenshots from your Lesson.

6 Download each audio file using the icon next to each VO Phonetics field.
7 Assemble the video from these components in the video tool of your choice.

What if Video mode does not work as expected?

Contact your Local Administrator first. If your Local Administrator cannot resolve the issue, submit a case through the Skyllful support portal.
