Create an Assignment
Administrators create a Skyllful assignment in Studio by choosing a template, setting dates, selecting lessons, and then adding learners.
How do you create an assignment?
| Step | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 | Open Studio and go to your Learning Program. |
| 2 | In the Assignments card, click the plus (+) icon. |
| 3 | Set the start and end dates for the assignment. |
| 4 | Choose an assignment template: New Hire, Campaign, or Reference. |
| 5 | Select the lessons learners will complete. |
| 6 | Click Create to save. You must create the assignment before you can add learners. |
| 7 | Add learners: create new users, select existing ones, or import from another Learning Program. |

What should you know about start dates?
A learner's completion countdown begins only when the assignment's start date has passed and the learner has been added. To load learners early, set individual start dates in Duration settings.
FAQ
How do I create an assignment? Open Studio, click the plus icon in the Assignments card, set dates, pick a template, select lessons, click Create, then add learners.
Why can't I add learners yet? You must click Create to save the assignment first. The Learners step becomes available afterward.
When does a learner's countdown start? When the start date has passed and the learner has been added to the assignment.
