Completion and Readiness Metrics

Skyllful IQ reports two snapshot metrics, Completion and Readiness, and this article explains how each is measured, how they differ, how administrators and managers should read them, and how to use the new Learners view columns and export.

What do Completion and Readiness measure?

Skyllful IQ provides two snapshot metrics for monitoring training progress. They are often reviewed together, but they measure different things: Completion looks at entire lessons finished, while Readiness drills down to the learning-mode level for a more detailed view of engagement. Reading them together helps you interpret reports accurately and make better training decisions.

Completion Readiness
Measures entire lessons completed by learners. Drills down to the learning-mode level for a more detailed view.
A lesson counts as complete only when all assigned modes (Video, Walkthrough, Practice, Knowledge Check) are finished. Reveals the "depth of learning" by measuring engagement across the different learning components.

How is Completion calculated?

Scenario Result
Simple: 77 learners complete all modes of one lesson. Completion = 77%
Multi-lesson: 10 learners are each assigned 10 lessons (100 assignments). 5 finish all 10 (50 lessons) and 5 finish 5 each (25 lessons). Completion = 75% (75 of 100)

How is Readiness calculated?

Readiness weights learning events and knowledge checks equally. Example: 100 learners are each assigned one lesson with 4 total modes (3 learning modes + 1 knowledge check).

Step Figure
50 learners complete the full lesson 150 learning events, 50 knowledge checks
25 learners complete 2 learning modes only 50 more learning events
Learning events complete 200 of 300 (66.7%)
Knowledge checks complete 50 of 100 (50%)
Readiness (0.5 × 66.7%) + (0.5 × 50%) = 58.35%

What columns does the Learners view show?

The Learners view now includes date columns that help you track each Learner's timeline alongside their Completion and Readiness. Use them to spot Learners who started but stalled, or who have not engaged recently.

Column What it shows
Date Added The date the Learner was added to the Assignment.
Date Completed The date the Learner finished the Assignment. It stays empty until they complete it.
Last Interaction Date The most recent date the Learner engaged with the training.

How do you export the Learners view?

You can export the Learners view for reporting. The export includes the same columns you see on screen, so you can share progress, build your own reports, or keep records outside Skyllful IQ.
